How does the Titan laser work?

Infrared light heats the dermis well below the skin’s surface, targeting water in this area. This causes immediate collagen contraction and stimulates collagen growth, which in turn produces tighter, smoother and younger-looking skin. Continuous cooling is provided by the machine during the procedure for added comfort and to protect the top layer of skin.

A course of up to 4 treatments is usually required for best results. Collagenesis or production of collagen continues for up to 12 months after the treatments.

Are there any side effects?

Your skin will have redness similar to a mild sunburn and feel tingly for the first 3 to 5 hours following treatment. This will subside quickly and you will still be able to continue with your daily activities.

If you have had treatments to the face, you may like to apply cool packs until the warm sensation has reduced, and then apply mineral makeup to cover any residual pinkness. There is no flaking or peeling of the skin.

How many treatments do I need?

The clinician will assess your skin and depending on your skin type and needs, up to 4 treatments may be recommended. These can be spaced 1 to 3 months apart for best results. Many patients who have Titan laser treatments also choose dermal fillers or anti-wrinkle injections for additional anti-aging benefits.

What are the results?

The result is immediate due to initial collagen tightening. Then, over the next 3 to 6 months, the natural collagen stimulation process creates further new collagen. This in turn causes additional collagen tightening.
